Boothroyd Primary Academy Boothroyd Primary Academy is situated in Dewsbury and currently has over 600 pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

We pride ourselves in working in partnership with our local community and being an inclusive school where everyone is welcome. I am really pleased to welcome you to our academy page- thank you for visiting! We hope our page gives you a flavour of our school but to feel and breathe it you need to come and visit! You are welcome at any time but if you ring and make an appointment we can mak

e sure someone is there to answer your questions and show you around. We like to think we are a growing school- in more ways than one! We are growing in numbers each year: we currently have 600 pupils from Nursery to Year 6. Our curriculum is growing: we introduced forest skills in September, introduced our chickens (goats on the way!) , increased our trips for children and developed more learning areas within school. Our skills are growing- we increased the number of children making good progress last year through effective teaching and a focus on basic skills. Our partnership schools are growing: we are proud to be part of the Focus Multi Academy Trust and wholeheartedly support and contribute to their vision – learning together, making the difference. Quite simply- we are proud of our academy and the children and staff within it. Boothroyd Primary Academy is an excellent place to learn- we know because children, staff and visitors tell us it is! It makes my day to show people round our fabulous school so drop in anytime!
