Today is the Feast Day of our namesake Saint Columba.

St Columba or St Colmcille is also the patron saint of our amazing city, and we are proud to continue his legacy of promoting harmony and friendship at St Columb's Park House, a place of peace and reconciliation where we encourage everyone to grow. ❀️

We would be lost without our volunteers, they are the heart and soul of St Columb's Park House. πŸ‘©β€πŸ”§πŸ’–πŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎ

Many thanks to the staff of Kainos for their time and helping with the gardens, you are the best balsam bashers in the country πŸ˜‰

There will be a table set up in the Walled Garden.
We would ask due to limited availability that each person take only two items each to make it fair for everyone. πŸ’–

We would like to congratulate, and wish the new Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Grace Ui Niallais all the best for the year ahead. πŸŽ‰
As our friend and former colleague it is bittersweet for us as she gets to have this amazing experience but we will miss her very much πŸ’”

We love to see our garden in full bloom, we also love visitors to share this beautiful space with us. πŸͺ»πŸŒΉπŸŒΊπŸŒ·πŸͺ·

We are finding however, some plants going missing πŸ€” if anyone needs a cutting or a seed and we have it by all means come and ask because we love to share and we will if we can. Also our volunteers work so hard to keep the gardens beautiful and they deserve to see their hard work in all its glory.

We may have some additional plants next week depending on availability, so keep an eye on our socials for further instructions.

We were delighted to host the Friends of Derry Walls last night to talk about the history of our beautiful house and its surrounding parklands.

We hope that everyone learnt a few new stories to share to help us keep the history of the house alive.

A polite reminder as busy season is upon us.

As First Communion and Wedding season is upon us, we would really appreciate if anyone looking to take photographs in the grounds or outside the house could make a small donation towards tea and coffee for our volunteers, who work so hard to keep our gardens and house so beautiful all year round. 🏡🌸🌼

Much appreciated ❀️
