Family Support NI www.familysupportni.gov.uk is the most comprehensive public online directory of Registered Childcare and Family Support services in N Ireland

www.familysupportni.gov.uk is a public online directory of Family Support services, including Registered childcare for Northern Ireland. It contains details of ALL registered childcare providers in Northern Ireland along with useful information on help with childcare costs. We have most up-to-date information available. We get regular updates from Early Years teams in the Trusts about New Registra

tions, De-Registrations and any changes to contact details. The site also provides information on Family Support services including Separating Families, Financial/Welfare Advice, Carers, Disability, Domestic/Sexual abuse, Drug/Alcohol Misuse, Mental Health, Ethnic Minority and others. The Family Support NI website aims to ensure that all parents/carers or young people who need help or support can find the service they need and how to access it, no matter whether this service is provided by a statutory, private, community or voluntary organisation. The website is also very useful for front line staff who want to signpost to an appropriate service.

Carers Week is 8th – 14th June 2026: Carers face many challenges yet despite this they contribute greatly to families and communities in Northern Ireland. People often don’t realise how much they are caring for someone and that they can get support in their caring role.

Over the coming days, we’ll be raising awareness of our short breaks for children with disabilities service. 📣

Short breaks foster carers welcome children and young people into their homes for overnight stays to have fun, build confidence, and make new friends, while giving parents and carers a vital break. 💛

There is an urgent need for more people to come forward and provide flexible short breaks foster care for children with disabilities.

Over the campaign period we’ll be sharing profiles of the children and young people, hearing the personal experiences of current short breaks carers, and highlighting the positive impact on all involved.

Listen out for a radio ad and follow our social media updates to find out more about how you can get involved. We’re also hosting two virtual information sessions where you can ask questions and chat to the team.
