In the same estate, under similar circumstances another vehicle came to the attention of officers whilst out on patrol.

A male has decided to run, however he was no match for PC Steans who managed to detain him for a stop and search under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act.

The vehicle, showing no insurance was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. Enquiries now ongoing in relation to traffic offences committed by the driver.

Whilst on patrol today in Alvaston a white uninsured van has come to the attention of officers. Without even being lit up to stop, the van has done a strange manoeuvre and the male has decided to run away from officers.

The male has been identified and checks confirmed he does not have a licence.

The van has been seized and the male is being reported for multiple traffic offences ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

Following a sighting of a motorbike on kiwi park, which had then been dumped in the woodlands.๐Ÿž๏ธ ๐ŸŒณ

Officers attended the area, carried out a search of the woods and located the vehicle which was then recovered.

After receiving a call for service in relation to the male alleged to be in possession of a knife.

John Muldoon, 39 of Wilkins Drive, Derby has been charged with the following offences after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) โœ…

-Threaten with a bladed article in a private place
- Criminal damage
- Possession of a bladed article

The male has been remanded to court this morning.

Today your local Safer Neighbourhood Team attended a reported incident of a male who was alleged to be in possession of a knife ๐Ÿ”ช

Officers quickly arrived minutes after the call came in and located the male โฐ

Thanks to their quick work the male was subsequently arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, threats to kill and theft โ—

Enquiries around the incident remain ongoing.

On Saturday 29th August, your Local Police SNT attended Great Northern Classics to engage with members of the public at their Jaguar car event, we spoke to many members of the public about things ranging from the problems they have in their local area to what to do if you believe your vehicle registration plate has been cloned, it was lovely to engage with the public and hope to speak to more people at future events!๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿš” ๐Ÿ™‚

| Burglar who hit woman in wheelchair with pan in her own home jailed

A burglar who burst into the home of a wheelchair-user and hit her with a pan before stealing her mobile phones has been jailed.

Remy Thomas broke into the home of the woman in Derby in the early hours of Monday 9 March and picked up a saucepan from the hob and started attacking the victim with it.

He has then gone into a bedroom and stolen two mobile phones before fleeing the scene.

Officers were called to the scene and located Thomas a short while later in nearby Lodge Lane.

He was arrested by an officer following a short chase on foot.

The victim, a woman aged in her 50s, was taken to hospital to be treated for a suspected fractured skull.

Thomas was charged with burglary and admitted the offence during an appearance at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday 18 August.

The 21-year-old, of Booth Street, Alvaston, was jailed for two and a half years.

He was also imposed with a restraining order not to contact the victim for five years.

After receiving multiple calls about an abandoned moped on Wadebridge Grove Alvaston ๐ŸŒณ

The Safer Neighbourhood Team attended and found the moped propped up against a metal fence ๐Ÿ๏ธ

It is believed to of been ridden without insurance and involved in Anti Social Behaviour โŒ

After being abandoned and unable to find the registered keeper of the vehicle it was seized and taken to a garage to be assessed ๐Ÿ‘
