The annual celebration of everything the cadet movement stands for, developing young people, building communities, and inspiring the next generation of citizens and volunteers!

Held from 5 - 11 October, the week gives every unit across Derbyshire the opportunity to open its doors, tell its story, and demonstrate the real difference it makes; to young people, to families, and to local communities.

This week, cadets across the county are heading back to our 32 detachments as a new training year gets underway!

It’s a chance to catch up with friends, welcome new faces and get stuck into another year packed with adventure, challenge, skills, teamwork and plenty of fun.

𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆

A proud and memorable occasion for B Company, Derbyshire Army Cadet Force, as more than 80 cadets, alongside the adult volunteers of B Company, paraded to mark their official affiliation with the Corps of Royal Engineers.

The ceremony took place at Wallis Barracks, Chesterfield, home to 350 Field Squadron, providing a fitting setting for this significant occasion and the strengthening of the connection between B Company and the Royal Engineers.

The parade was honoured by the presence of His Majesty's Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire, who gave an address to the cadets and adult volunteers, highlighting the significance of the occasion and the values of service and commitment.

Also attending was the Commanding Officer of 75 Engineer Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Jamie Walkworth.

The rebadging marks an exciting new chapter for B Company, allowing our cadets to embrace the Royal Engineers' proud heritage and traditions.

As well as adopting a new cap badge, cadets will continue to develop the teamwork, leadership, resilience and confidence that are at the heart of the Army Cadet experience.

A proud day for B Company, Derbyshire ACF, as we begin this exciting new chapter with the Royal Engineers.

You’ve challenged yourself, overcome obstacles, supported your friends and learned to believe in what you can achieve.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽!️

Annual Camp isn’t just about the cadets - it’s a fantastic experience for our adult volunteers too!

After months of planning, training and preparation, Annual Camp gives our volunteers the chance to step back, enjoy the camaraderie and have some fun alongside colleagues from across the county.

From supporting activities and getting stuck into training, to sharing a laugh around camp, there’s a real sense of achievement and satisfaction in seeing our cadets rise to every challenge.

It can be hard work, but the rewards are huge. Seeing cadets grow in confidence, develop new skills and make memories that will last a lifetime makes every minute worthwhile.

For our adult volunteers, Annual Camp truly is the pinnacle event of the training year - and one we look forward to every year!

🎺 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘆𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗖𝗙 | 𝗔 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗢𝗳 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! 🎶

While the rest of Derbyshire ACF headed away for Annual Camp, the Band of Derbyshire ACF had an action-packed training week based at Sinfin!

The week gave our band cadets the chance to develop their musical skills and progress through the music syllabus, alongside a host of activities designed to challenge, develop and bring everyone together.

It was a fantastic week of learning, teamwork, adventure and, of course, plenty of music!

𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺

The Operations Room is where the planning, coordination and decision-making happens during Annual Camp.

In this photo, the Company Commanders are meeting with the heads of departments to coordinate the many moving parts that keep camp running safely and effectively.

A huge amount of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure our cadets have a challenging, rewarding and memorable experience.

A huge thank you to our county team for their dedication, commitment and leadership throughout camp. 👏
