Did you know that Deeping St James Parish Council and Market Deeping Town Council financially support Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire so they are able to offer an outreach service every Wednesday at Deepings Community Centre on Douglas Road Market Deeping

Also from this Thursday (10 September) there will be a weekly outreach service at The Institute 38 Church Street Deeping St James PE6 8HD

Deeping St James Parish Council were pleased to be able to support the LIONS CLUB OF THE DEEPINGS Duck Race which was officially opened by the Parish Council Chairman Councillor Phil Neville.
We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the entertainment, stalls and the race itself

Put simply the Government are pushing for the District and County Councils to be abolished and for that big piece of land from down here in the Deepings to up there in Mablethorpe to become one - reducing the number of councillors, reducing the accessibility you have to those councillors and increasing the spread of where your council tax goes - that is more thinly spread away from where you live - you could consider that this flies in the face of the current governments stance on devolution of power but perhaps thats for everyone else and not for us in more rural communities - if you think that this is unfair - btw this is a cross party issue - then please sign the petition so that the Government can be forced to have a rethink! https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/778620

It was great to meet the Firefighters at Market Deeping Fire Station earlier this evening and thank them for all they do for the community.
Councillor Phil Neville Chairman of Deeping St James Parish Council provided them with some well deserved refreshments to enjoy.

We’re continuing to conduct patrols at Bourne, Stamford and Deeping St James Skate parks to help prevent anti-social behaviour.

Members of the public using these areas and living nearby have expressed their concerns but also that there does seem to be a smaller number of issues comparing to last year.

We continue to ask people to report any instances of ASB with as much detail as possible.
