Congratulations to Megan, who travelled to Birmingham on 10th July to represent the Devon team at the English Schools Athletics Championships.
Competing in the U16 Girls' 75m Hurdles, Megan achieved something she has worked incredibly hard for and has dreamed of for many years. She finished 6th in a very competitive heat, recording an impressive time of 12.48 seconds.
This is a fantastic achievement, and we are incredibly proud of Megan for reaching this level of competition. Congratulations on your success, and we look forward to seeing all that you achieve next season!

The Student Leadership Team at Dawlish College are happy to announce that new road markings have been painted in the road in front of the College. This came as a result of the Student Leadership Team’s campaign to improve road safety along Elm Grove Road. Local Councillor Rosie Dawson worked with us to request that Southwest Water pay for repainting the road markings after extensive roadworks damaged the markings. New roadside signage has also been put in place. Furthermore, we have been promised a new crossing for the road by James Anstrey of Devon County Council highways team. We hope this will happen soon. The Student Leadership Team would like to thank Citizens UK and Councillor Rosie Dawson for their support in achieving these vital safety measures which will make coming and going from the College safer for students, staff and the general public.

Sports Day 17th July

To help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable day, please make sure your child:

• Arrives wearing full school uniform.
• Has sunscreen applied before leaving home and brings it with them for regular reapplication throughout the day.
• Brings suitable sun protection, such as a sun hat or umbrella.
• Has plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Year 11 students celebrated the end of their Dawlish College journey in style at their Leavers’ Prom, enjoying an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, friendship, dancing, and memorable moments as they reflected on the experiences they had shared together and looked ahead with excitement to the opportunities and adventures that await them in the future.
