Competitions, Quizzes, Virtual Duck Races and much much more! Eyes of Dawlish was started in 2009 as a page for gossip and rumours it soon took off getting over 500 fans in its first 3 months! Today it is much more than that...
"The EOD" went from strength to strength with the press mentioning concerns and posts from its users, Insights were flagging up posts and mentions from users and users trebled, it became more of a local concerns page and way of sharing things with the people around Dawlish. Today the Page runs itself with the help of the 15000+ users and me "The Eyes" the admin along with moderators and analysts. There have been many pages trying to get the same coverage and users as EOD but failed, Pages are welcome to post there pages on mine but not spam. I cannot take any responsibility for comments made or posted by others so please do not victimize me in posts. Remember you are posting your comments to the WWW and everyone can see it, Police use this site, Councillors, Mums and Dads etc etc. The page has a Profanity Blocklist so no heavy swearing or spamming, no posting direct insults these will be flagged and moved to hidden posts and reviewed and possibly banned. Banter is fine but if someone takes offence STOP! Users breaking any of these rules will be automatically banned from the page and reported to facebook. I reserve the right to ban any user myself if i feel necessary, i will re-enable your account in 1 month on receiving PM. If your a resident or previous resident please take a look at joining our discussions group. Also Please Become a SUPPORTER!

👋 Hello! I’m Cam, founder of Exeter Tech Solutions.

I’ve recently launched Exeter Tech Solutions to provide friendly, patient technology support for people across South Devon and the surrounding areas.

I’ve worked in IT and digital support for over seven years and currently work in IT and digital transformation within NHS primary care. Through that work, I’ve seen just how much more of everyday life is moving online – and how easy it is for people to feel left behind when technology doesn’t come naturally to them.

That’s a big part of why I started Exeter Tech Solutions.

💻 I provide home visits for everyday technology problems – whether that’s a computer or laptop, phone or tablet, Wi-Fi, printers, email and online accounts, setting up a new device, photos and backups, staying safe online, or simply something that isn’t working as it should.

I’m particularly passionate about supporting older people, people living with disabilities, and anyone who feels less confident using technology. There are no silly questions and no expectation that you should already know how something works. I’m happy to sit down, take things at your pace and explain things without the jargon.

I also provide website and IT support for local small businesses, including simple, affordable websites for businesses that need to get online or refresh an existing site.

🏠 Home visits from £45 for up to one hour
✅ DBS checked and fully insured
📍 Based locally in Dawlish and covering Dawlish Warren, Teignmouth, Starcross, Exminster, Newton Abbot, Exeter and surrounding areas.

If you need some help – or perhaps have a parent, grandparent, neighbour or friend who does – you’re very welcome to get in touch.

E-scooters | Brought an e-scooter to uni? Read this first.

Did you know that it is illegal to ride privately owned e-scooters on public roads and cycle paths?

You can only ride a privately owned e-scooter on private land with the landowner’s permission. Don’t even think about riding them on the pavement.

Different rules apply to rental scheme e-scooters – check with your local provider, but you’ll need a valid licence.

Police will seize and crush illegally ridden e-scooters. So if you are thinking of buying one, or you are a parent and thinking of getting one for you child, save your money.

If you’ve brought one, leave it at your digs and send it back next time the parents visit, along with the laundry.

Summer might be winding down, but there’s always a warm welcome waiting at the bar.

Great food, proper pints, a game of darts or pool, and good company to round off the day.
Whatever the season, there’s always a seat for you at The Brunswick. 🍻

See you soon. 🫶🏼
