This September Discover Daventry want your children’s art on show.

They're inviting young people aged 0-18 years to create a piece of art for their 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒍. Finished pieces will be displayed in shop windows around town as part of the exhibition.

Walking Daventry Art Trail: Calling all young artists!

This September, Daventry is joining Northants and Rutland Open Studios, and we want your children’s art on show.

We’re inviting young people aged 0 to 18 to create a piece of art for our Walking Daventry Art Trail. Finished pieces will be displayed in shop windows around town as part of the exhibition.

How to take part:

🎨Create a piece of art on A4 paper. Any medium works: crayon, paint, collage, pencil, whatever your child enjoys
🖌️The only rule is size, it must be A4
📝Write the artist’s name and a contact number on the back
🎨Drop it off at Sheaf Street Health Store or The Storybook Play Cafe by 10th September

We can’t wait to see what Daventry’s young artists create!

🎉A huge 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 to The Reach For Health Centre on the launch of their brand new Wellbeing Hub! It was a real privilege to attend the opening and meet the dedicated team who are making such a positive difference to the lives of Daventry residents.

Wishing the Hub every success as it continues to support local people on their wellbeing journeys. I look forward to visiting again soon!

🌟 I was honoured to recently attend the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire’s Garden Party at the stunning Harrowden Hall. It was an inspiring event celebrating the incredible volunteers who go above and beyond for our Northants communities.

🌟 It was fantastic to meet so many dedicated individuals whose passion and commitment are making a real difference. Thank you to all those community heroes.

As Mayor of Daventry, I’m delighted to invite you, your family and friends to a very special performance of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 on Saturday 24 October.

This fascinating one-woman show tells the remarkable story of the courageous women who took to the canals during the Second World War, keeping vital supplies moving while Britain was at war. It promises to be an entertaining, moving and memorable evening.
