Help Shape the Future of the Royal Borough

What should the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead look like over the next 20 years?

Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is beginning work on a new Development Plan for the Royal Borough, which will help guide decisions about where homes, jobs, infrastructure, community facilities and green spaces are located in the future.

This consultation is taking place at the very beginning of the process. There are no specific sites or policies being proposed at this stage.

This is an opportunity for residents to help identify the priorities that could shape the Borough for the next 20 years.

PLAYGROUND RIDE IDEAS PLEASE…

The playground has served / is serving the community well, and we keep it in great working order with regular inspections and repairs. The IPLAY ride is out of action and we wanted to hear your ideas for a possible replacement?

We would love to hear from the community about what YOU think?

New play equipment?
Better facilities for older children?
Somewhere to sit, relax and enjoy the space?
More accessible play options?
Something completely different?

In alignment with Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead we are continuing to water the trees at Datchet Community Orchard - if you fancy taking a watering can down that would be an incredible help too.

Every drop helps and please please do feel free to water our young trees.

What a fantastic turnout for this recent litter pick, with Datchet Litter Picking who were joined by an amazing group of volunteers heading out along the roads beside the motorway and getting to work.

And they REALLY got to work…

Bag after bag of rubbish was collected, making a huge difference to an area that sees so much passing traffic.

After all that hard work, it only seemed fair to head to the cricket club for some well-earned light refreshments!

And there’s more to come…

We’re now working on a new cross-parish initiative with local councillors and businesses to help make sure rubbish and waste is reported and collected as quickly as possible.

It’s early days, but we’re really excited about what this could mean for our local area. We’ll share more details as soon as we have them.

For now, thank you to Datchet Litter Picking and to everyone who came along and helped.
