I share residents' concerns over Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council raising its council tax precept by 42% - driving up bills across the ward.

As shown below, a 42% increase in precept is a significant outlier amongst precepting authorities covering the Dartford area. It is important that relevant budget information, justifying this decision, is made available to residents as soon as possible and that proper scrutiny is restored to the council's financial affairs.
