🌟 Celebrating our future NHS stars
Yesterday, we held our first ever T-Level celebration event at Darlington Memorial Hospital, bringing together current and former students to celebrate their achievements and hear how their experiences are shaping their futures.
From aspiring nurses and paramedics to future physiotherapists, our students shared inspiring stories about their placements, the skills they’ve developed and the confidence they’ve gained while learning alongside our teams.
👏 Ava, Tunmise, Poppy, Josie, Megan and Lilly spoke about their experiences across a range of services, and how their placements have helped them discover their passions and plan their next steps.
We were also delighted to welcome former students Charley and Layla, who shared how their T-Levels helped them progress.
Layla, who was part of our very first cohort, is now in her third year studying adult nursing at the University of Sunderland, combining her studies with clinical experience.
Their achievements show just how valuable these opportunities can be in helping young people find their place in healthcare.
Nikki Brodhurst, our Widening Participation Ambassador, said we are extremely proud of every T-Level student and grateful to the colleagues who mentor and support them.
A huge thank you to all our students, former students, college partners and colleagues who made our first celebration event so special.
We’re incredibly proud of what our students have achieved so far and can't wait to see where their journeys take them. They are the future of our NHS workforce.💙
