You can find out about all the latest news and events, as well as information on housing topics and any updates we

may have to share. Before you ask a question we recommend that you check to see if the information you need is already available on https://www.darlington.gov.uk/housing/. This will avoid you needing to wait longer than necessary to find the answer. We check our social networks on a regular basis throughout normal Council office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm). This means if you ask a question on a weekend, an evening or on a bank holiday we will not see it straightaway. Comments may be removed if they contain swearing and abuse, personal details, libellious/defamatory information, political/extremist views or information about ongoing legal
proceedings. We will also delete posts which promote businesses or if they are off-topic, irrelevant or repetitive.

🏠 A Positive Experience with Our Stock Condition Surveys

🙂We know that having someone visit your home can sometimes feel a little daunting, which is why it's great to receive feedback like this from tenant Sam following a recent stock condition survey:

🗣"I had been feeling anxious about the survey before, but he was incredibly reassuring, friendly, polite, and professional. He made the whole process feel so much easier than I had built up inside my head!"

👥Stock condition surveys help us understand the condition of our homes and plan future improvements, but they're also an opportunity to ensure tenants feel listened to and supported.

🙌A huge thank you to Sam for sharing her feedback, and well done to our surveyor for providing such a positive experience and representing Housing Services so well.

🙌A huge thank you to Mitie for their kindness in supporting one of our residents.

😀After repairs were needed following a water leak, Mrs Dresser, aged 82, was worried about how she would manage the decorating work afterwards. Wanting to help, Mitie kindly offered to redecorate her kitchen ceiling, walls and woodwork.

👥This thoughtful gesture shows the positive difference that can be made when organisations work together to support our residents and communities.
