Dalton Leisure Centre Dalton Leisure Centre is one of two committee ran self sustaining registered charity leisure centres

Dalton Leisure Centre comprises of a warm family-friendly swimming pool, Kid's Splash Zone with overhead tipping buckets, spray rails and a shark shower, two squash courts, two air-conditioned gyms, a spinning studio, Zen room and air-conditioned aerobics studio. There is a large lounge area with a cafe that has viewing to both the pool and squash areas.

🥋🦸‍♂️ BJJ SUPERHERO FUN DAY 🦸‍♀️🥋

We'd like to give a huge shout-out and thank you to the team at LOBO Cubs Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for organising this fantastic event in support of Dalton Swimming Baths.

Community fundraising events like this make a real difference and help us continue providing swimming, fitness and leisure opportunities for local people. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gives up their time, energy and resources to support us.

This fun-filled Superhero Fun Day is aimed at children aged 4–6 years and promises games, activities, obstacle courses, BJJ skills, confidence building and plenty of fun throughout the day.

📅 Sunday 12th July 2026
📍 LOBO, Crelling Street, Barrow-in-Furness
💷 £10 per child

There will also be refreshments, a cake stall and a raffle with some fantastic prizes to be won.

Every penny raised will go towards supporting Dalton Swimming Baths and the services we provide for our community.

A sincere thank you to LOBO Cubs and to everyone who continues to organise and support fundraising events on our behalf. The support from our local community never goes unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by our staff, volunteers and users.

🏊‍♀️ Congratulations Rebecca! 🏊‍♀️

We're delighted to announce that Rebecca has successfully passed her Level 2 Swim Teaching Qualification! 🎉

Rebecca has worked incredibly hard to achieve this qualification, showing great dedication, enthusiasm and commitment throughout her apprenticeship training from volunteer hours on Saturday mornings with Rachael to passing her level 2 Swim England course. We are extremely proud of her achievement and look forward to seeing her continue to develop as part of our swim teaching team.

As a result, Rebecca will be taking over our Saturday afternoon Stage 5 & Stage 6 swimming lessons from tomorrow. We know she will do a fantastic job and we're excited for our swimmers to benefit from her knowledge and passion for teaching.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Charlie for all of his hard work, commitment and support during his time teaching these classes. Charlie has been a valued member of the team and has made a huge positive impact on so many of our swimmers.

Whilst Charlie has recently started a new job, we're pleased to say he hasn't gone far and will still be helping us out with occasional shifts here and there. We wish him every success in his new role and look forward to continuing to see him around the centre.
