A night of film, poetry, music & performance at Dalkeith Palace

Join us at Dalkeith Palace on Sunday 6th September for an evening exploring the work of renowned Scottish artist and poet Ian Hamilton Finlay.

The evening brings together two very different performances: The Boat in the Writing Room, a film exploring Finlay’s early poetic development, followed by Finlay - Jandl - Satie, a live performance of spoken word and sound by acclaimed Dada interpreter and pianist Florian Kaplick.

And there’s time to pause, enjoy a glass of bubbly and take in the surroundings of Dalkeith Palace along the way.

Whether you're already familiar with Finlay's work or simply looking for something a little different to do in Edinburgh this September, all are welcome.
