A little update about our four beautiful Cherry Valley ducks. 🦆❤️
Since March, these four little characters have been part of life here at the Manor. We’ve cared for them, loved them and thoroughly enjoyed watching their personalities develop. They became such a lovely part of the grounds and were always a favourite with visitors.
However, following the recent incidents involving people entering the grounds and the damage to the property, we’ve had to make a very difficult decision.
Their safety has to come first, and we simply weren’t prepared to take any chances with them. So, as sad as we are to see them go, our four girls have now been rehomed.
And we genuinely couldn’t have wished for a better home for them. ❤️
They are now living on a beautiful 12-acre smallholding just outside Tenby, surrounded by other animals and with people who are completely passionate about their care. We’ve already received photos and a lovely video of them happily exploring one of their new ponds, and it’s wonderful to see them settling in.
There are even holiday lets on the smallholding and we’ve been invited to go and stay and visit them, so hopefully this won’t be the last we see of our girls.
It was incredibly sad saying goodbye, but knowing they are safe, happy and have such a wonderful life ahead of them makes the decision much easier.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contacted us over the last few days with kind words, messages and offers of support. It has genuinely meant a great deal to both of us.
Today we’re regrouping and dealing with the temporary repairs needed to secure and protect the Manor. This coming week we’ll begin looking at the longer-term plan for dealing with the damage and deciding how we move forward from here.
For now, we’re taking things one day at a time.
Thank you again for standing behind us and for caring about the Manor and everything we’ve been trying to create here.
Tracey & Nigel ❤️
