Bell Baxter High School

Bell Baxter High School Local Authority secondary school in Fife. Nineteen associated primary schools share our Vision for pupils: 'To give the best preparation for life'.

Bell Baxter High School is a six-year comprehensive secondary school serving the area of north Fife which centres on Cupar. The school's values are rooted in respect for self and others, tolerance and open-ness – we strive to do our best. We aim to be a happy school where success is celebrated. The school's pupils and staff are based in modern accommodation. Our facilities are excellent. We have a

n active Parent Council, Pupil Council and a Prefect system based on self-nomination and selection interview, and Awards Schemes which recognise pupil achievements. Very good examination results take most of our senior pupils to university or college. An extensive programme of curricular and extra-curricular activities includes opportunities for local and overseas travel. The curriculum aims to meet the needs of all pupils. Traditional areas of strength in the Social Subjects, Sciences, Mathematics and Arts are complemented by new vocational activities incorporating Enterprise, Technology, Problem Solving and Working with Others. Pupils, parents and teachers share the aspiration to maintain Bell Baxter as a forward-looking and successful school. Teachers and pastoral support staff work closely with parents to help our young people achieve their best. Social Media House Rules - www.fife.gov.uk/HouseRules

Our social media channels feature a variety of information from our services and partners, keeping you informed and up to date with what's happening across Fife. We're here to help in any way that we can, and we will always aim to be supportive and respectful in our posts and any comments we respond to. We expect the same of all those contributing to our page. We want our social media channels to be safe, healthy, and open places for discussion and the exchange of views and we have the following house rules to help support that.

- All users must comply with the social media platform's terms of use as well as our own terms of use
- We answer enquiries/messages as soon as possible within working hours
- We will remove, in whole or in part, posts that we feel are inappropriate – for example bullying or harassment - or discriminatory against any individual or group
- You are wholly responsible for any content you post including content you choose to share

We will remove messages (where function allows) and report and/or block users on our social media channels who post messages at us which we believe are:

- abusive or obscene
- deceptive or misleading
- in violation of any intellectual property rights, including copyright
- in violation of any law or regulation
- spam and off-topic content (persistent negative and/or abusive posts in which the aim is to provoke a response)
- promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions

Anyone repeatedly engaging with us using content or language which falls into the above categories will be blocked and/or reported to the associated social media platform. We will not tolerate or respond to abusive messages. We must always remain politically neutral on social media which is why council officers are unable to reply to, endorse or engage with, any content that is of a party political nature. Political issues can be discussed with local councillors.

Evie and Ellie from Bell Baxter High School girls football team gave an excellent presentation at the Parent Council meeting last week.
The team desperately needs new football strips and they have launched a fundraising drive to help raise the Β£450 needed.
Tomorrow (Thursday) the team will hold an Easter-themed bake sale in school.
They would also be very grateful to hear from any local businesses in Cupar and across the Howe of Fife that may be able to support them. Individual donations would also be gratefully received.
Please contact the school office if you'd like to support this brilliant team!
