We have taken the tough decision to close the Four Connections and will not be able to reopen. We had been hoping to restart the Toddler Group way before now but none of us thought a year later we would still be closed along with all the other businesses this pandemic has affected. The Four Connections has been part of our community for many years providing a youth group, toddler group and breakfast club for our children and we want you to know we haven’t taken this decision lightly.

Thank you to all the people who have supported us over the years and helped provide a safe place for our children to go.

Small selection of adult and child Halloween costumes. Ages 5/6 Frankenstein and Dracula. Adult Dracula and Vampiress costumes. Some witches hats too. Only asking for a small donation.

Toddlers open Mon-Frid 9.15-11.15 if you would like a look.

As you all know we have struggled over the past year to find volunteers to help both at the Breakfast Club and the Youth Club. After 2 years of providing the Breakfast Club and after numerous appeals, we had to take the decision that we could not continue safely with the amount of volunteers we had left.

Regrettably we find ourselves in the same situation with the Youth Club, again after numerous appeals for volunteers. We were lucky to obtain some funding around Easter time to allow us to outsource Youth Workers to complement the volunteers we have left. This was only a quick fix and subsequent applications we have made for long term funding have been unsuccessful. As a result we are not in a position to run the Youth Club and have taken the difficult decision to not open back up in a couple of weeks time.

This upsets us greatly as we truly love the time we spend with our young people and love to see them grow and develop.

We hope that this is not a permanent situation and that in time we find a solution to continue to provide our services to the young people in our community.

Toddler Group will continue meantime same days and times.

I would like to thank our volunteers who have stuck with us through thick and thin and hopefully we will have a positive post soon.

❌❌ FUN NIGHT ❌❌

Due to the horrible weather our fun night will now be in the 4s building and not the garden - all kids who regularly attend are welcome and it’s from 6-8pm and our usual charge of £1.50

Monday night will be the last night of the 4’s for this term and we will be having our fun night over at the community garden from 6-8pm! All kids who regularly attend the group and the breakfast club are welcome to come along and join in the fun. Usual cost of £1.50 on the night ♥️

😔 IMPORTANT NOTICE 😔

Hi folks, just letting everyone know in plenty of time that due to a lack of response to our multiple volunteer posts, the breakfast club will no longer run after the summer. I cannot thank all my helpers enough over the past 2 years especially when I have been stressed or crabbit 🤣 - we have all worked so hard together to ensure it run as effectively as possible but due to many of our circumstances changing it’s just not possible for us to carry on. And a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past 2 years! Andrea ♥️

❌❌ VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED ❌❌

Hi everybody, I am putting out one final plea to ask for volunteers for the breakfast club for after the summer holidays. I will no longer be part of the group due to other commitments but I am helping out for now to try and locate a new group of volunteers - we are urgently asking for people to step forward to assist Allanna in running the group. I cannot stress enough that without the volunteers this group will not run after the summer!! We need a group of dependable and reliable volunteers to help us - please please only step forward if you are willing to commit to helping out every single week as this group needs consistent volunteers to make it work! ❌❌ VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED ❌❌

Hey everyone, now that I have spoken to all parents I can let everyone know that due to other commitments after the summer I will no longer be running the breakfast club at 4 Connections. I have a fantastic group of volunteers but unfortunately many of them also have new commitments after the summer and can’t help out any longer. Allanna McCluskie has volunteered alongside me for 2 years and is willing to take on this role BUT in order to do that she needs a reliable and dependable group of volunteers to help her. If anyone is available from 7.45-8.45am each school day can they please message me directly so we can try our best to keep this running next term. Please only offer your help if you are certain that you can always be available on the days you offer to volunteer as it isn’t possible to run this group unless everyone is committed and willing to be there on their allocated days. To make the group run smoothly it is beneficial that each person who volunteers can commit to the same day(s) each week.
