Today is Remembrance Day Sunday, at this time of the year most people in Scotland wear a Poppy. What is not known that there is only one recorded instance of a Scottish Soldier being Killed during the Battles of World War I and his body being Repatriated back to Scotland. His name was Henry James Scott, he was injured by a shell during the Battle of Loos September 1915, and died a few days later in a hospital in Rouen. His father arrived in Rouen one day too late, but was allowed to bring his son's body back to Annan Scotland....I was moved to write a song about his story, and this is me performing it, live in Glasgow 5 years ago with my band "Always the Way". 104 Years ago today Henry James Scott died of his wounds after the Battle of Loos, he was from Annan.
