Today the Sqn congratulated and celebrated 2 of our soldiers for their efforts.

A huge congratulations to Cpl T on receiving his meritorious service award from Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dumbartonshire.

A further congratulations to Sgt S on his thoroughly deserved promotion.

It is important to appreciate and reward the efforts of our soldiers, today is proof that hard work and dedication pays off. A proud day for 124 👌🏻

The Sqn’s recent training took place in various locations across Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. In Hoy the Troop constructed boardwalks for the RSPB, to help with drainage and prevent further damage to the local paths. In Kinloss the Troop had various construction tasks including some concreting, block laying and painting to help freshen up our Reserve centre. We also had a plant training package in Paisley for our operators to help keep them current and competent. Finally our signallers were spread out insuring constant communications were in place throughout.

Lots of moving parts and lots of effort all round 💪🏼💪🏼

Personnel from 124 Fd Sp Sqn along with other Squadrons in 71 Engr Regt have been taking part in EX WHEELED SAPPER run by 299 Para Sqn. They are currently focusing on off-road Land Rover with trailer training, Hazmat qualifications and C+E driver training.

These key fundamentals allow the Squadron to maintain capabilities and proficiencies whilst also gaining new skills.
