📢JOB OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Crowborough Town Council as its Responsible Financial Officer (RFO).

As Responsible Financial Officer, you will work at the Council Offices and report directly to the Town Clerk to provide professional financial leadership across the Council.

Key responsibilities include:
✅Budget preparation and monitoring
✅Financial reporting, management of accounts and payroll processes,
✅VAT and insurance administration, risk management
✅Experience of year-end accounts and audit preparation
✅Maintenance of the asset register
✅Advising councillors on financial matters

We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or an experienced finance professional with substantial senior accountancy experience. Knowledge of local government finance and experience as a Responsible Financial Officer would be advantageous.

Without a clear, visual sign, it can be hard to understand the daily barriers faced by people with a non-visible disability. The Sunflower helps bridge that gap, with just one small symbol.

Crowborough Town Council staff are trained to support Sunflower lanyard wearers and if you or someone you know lives with a hidden disability, you can pick up a Sunflower lanyard from the Council offices at Pine Grove.

it's so important that everyone should not have to worry about where the next meal is coming from.

Crowborough Foodbank do a great job to support those in Crowborough who are in need.

Our fabulous also helps by offering food items that would otherwise be wasted, in return for a small donation. The pantry is open to anyone, regardless of circumstances, helping to reduce food waste.

Both organisations are an important part of our community and this vital work could not be done without the hard work of volunteers! Thank you to everyone who gets involved.
