🍻 Could You Be the Next Heart of Cropredy Sports & Social Club?

Volunteer Bar Manager Wanted

Our wonderful Sports & Social Club is looking for someone to gradually take over the role of Volunteer Bar Manager.

You'll work alongside our current Bar Manager, David Cherry,to give you plenty of time to learn the ropes before taking over for a three-year term.

This is much more than looking after a bar – it's about being part of the team that helps keep one of Cropredy's most important community hubs thriving.

What does the role involve?

🍺 Keeping an eye on stock levels
🚚 Ordering beer from Hook Norton and managing deliveries
🛒 Occasional shopping trips for supplies
📅 Organising volunteer bar rotas and keeping everyone updated
🎉 Helping with events and stepping in when needed
🎸 Supporting bar operations during Fairport Cropredy Convention
🔐 Looking after bar security
💷 Working with the Treasurer to manage cash and payments

Do I need experience?

Previous experience is helpful, but not essential. Full support and training will be provided, and you'll have plenty of time to learn from David before taking over.

🌿 Fancy helping keep Cropredy looking lovely? 🌿

We’re looking for a few volunteer grass heroes to help mow certain spots around the village. Don’t worry, the Parish Council provides the mower and the fuel… we just need your time, your leg power, and maybe a tolerance for slightly wonky tan lines. 😄

It’s a great way to get outside, help the village, and secretly judge everyone else’s mowing technique.

Whether you can help regularly or just now and then, we’d love to hear from you. 🌱

Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice – S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Road Closure at Bourton, Station Road



A request has been received from Centurion Traffic Management for a temporary road closure to apply to a length of Station Road, whilst essential tactile examination of bridge works are carried out.



A temporary Notice is being made by Oxfordshire County Council to implement the temporary restriction and will operate from 19 June 2026 up to and including 20 June 2026. This will operate between 21:00nand 04:00



Please note that Notices for urgent works can last up to 5 consecutive days only.



A copy of the drawing showing the extent of the closure and also the alternative routes for traffic is attached.

DRONE HELP

Following the recent heavy rainfall and with more rain forecast, and in light of the proposed Obsidian development, the Parish Council is keen to document flooding in and around the proposed development site.

We are looking to get in touch with someone who has a licensed drone and the appropriate permissions/can guide on getting them, who may be able to take photographs or short videos during flooding events to help show the wider impact on the area.
