Come and get your car washed by our amazing firefighters at Crook Fire Station on Sunday, March 29! πŸ§‘β€πŸš’πŸͺ£

The crew will be washing cars from 10am to 2pm to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Last year we raised a record amount at our charity car washes and we'd love to see the same support at Crook this weekend!

It would mean the world to us if you could bring your car along and make a donation to the amazing charity. ❀

We hope to see you there!

Unfortunately, despite numerous warnings relating to fly tipping in and around the clothing bins at the station, we have had to make the difficult decision to have these removed.
It appears that a small minority of our community see these bins as an easy way to get rid of their unwanted waste, this is unacceptable as the service have to pay to get rid of this waste as it cannot be recycled.
As I'm sure you'll agree, this is not cost effective.
The bins will be getting removed by the charity imminently so please don't come along with a hope of getting rid of any more rubbish.
To the majority that have used these bins over the years to help us raise money for the charity, we would like to offer our heartfelt thanks. The money raised goes to a brilliant cause, helping both serving and retired firefighters and their families, suffering injury and illness.
We will endeavour to organise other ways to support this charity moving forward.

***We are continuing to see a large number of items being left at our charity clothing bin, that cannot be recycled. These bins are for clothing and shoes only. Toys, games and bricks a brac are not recyclables and the fire service have to pay to dispose of these items as they are classed as fly tipping. If this continues we will be requesting that the charity remove these bins altogether as the minority in our community continue to leave items that are unacceptable***
