The RNLI lifeguard season is coming to a close, and what a busy one it has been!

Sam, Lead Lifeguard Supervisor for North Norfolk, talks us through it 🌊

Lifeguards service will withdraw from Wells, Sheringham East Runton, West Runton and Cromer West from Sunday September 6, and from Sheringham West, Cromer East, Mundesley and Sea Palling on Sunday September 13.

If an emergency occurs on the beach with no lifeguard present, do not enter the water, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Filming in the district! 📽

The trailer has been released for Onwards and Sideways, a feature length film starring Hollywood actors Laura Linney and Rhys Ifans, which was filmed in Fakenham and surrounding areas.

The film will hit cinemas on November 6, then will appear on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

North Norfolk District Council and Norfolk Screen were pleased to have worked with Hilltop Screen and John Gore Studios to bring the production to Fakenham, and help facilitate the filming in the district.

* Move your hands and feet to help you stay afloat
* It’s fine if your legs sink; we all float differently
