Roundabout Vandalism -

We are very disappointed to report that, between the afternoon of 15 May and the morning of 18 May, the safety surfacing under the roundabout at The Willow Centre playground was vandalised again, just a month after being repaired.

The previous repair - also brought about by vandalism - cost £800. Every time vandalism occurs it costs you, our parishioners, through the precept. Therefore if you have any information regarding who is carrying out these acts it is important that you pass the information on. This has been reported to the police, and our CCTV is being checked. If you have any information, please contact the Police or the Parish Clerk - [email protected].

We had marked the area off with hazard tape, as the roundabout now can't be used again. Unfortunately someone has chosen to remove the safety tape and so the area will now need to be fenced off. Please do not remove any safety items that the Parish Council installs however much you want to use the equipment - these would not be put up unless necessary.

Thank you

Do you live near Dragonfly Lane / Woodpecker Lane / Oriole Drive?

Yesterday (25 February) at around 4.15pm our lovely owl sculpture was stolen from the woods by The Willow Centre, by four young men. We have good descriptions of them (and even have the address of two from a vigilant parishioner!).

Police have been advised and we will be checking our own CCTV asap, but in the meantime the foursome were followed walking around the above three roads, carrying the owl. If anyone has any CCTV / Ring doorbell etc footage from around 4.15 - 4.45pm we would be very grateful if you would check it and either let us or Norfolk Constabulary have the information within.

Please contact [email protected]

Thank you

Playground Repairs Update:

Just an update on any playground repairs. As ever, we know this is a slow process and it frustrates us as much as it does you. But it does take time for quotes to be sought, the parts to be ordered, and then the work to be booked in.

The Willow Centre:
-Basketball hoop - installed and ready to use!
-Roundabout - resurfacing booked mid-April (ground needs to be dry)
-Zip wire - booked for mid-March

Recreation Ground (Oakfields Road)
-Basketball hoop - hoop replaced. The backboard was booked in for last week but the ground was too wet for the company to access the field. Re-booked for mid-March.
-Swing replacement - options being approved in March . The basket swing should be replaced with a double frame, holding a basket swing and a standard swing, for more play options.
-Climbing frame ladder - repaired and open for use
-Zip wire - repaired and open for use
