This weekend at Innerpeffray: Free Exhibition of Shackleton's 'Heart of the Antarctic' in the Schoolroom - Saturday 10am-1pm, Sunday 2pm-5pm.

Saturday afternoon's talk will begin at 2pm in the Schoolroom, doors at 1.30. This event is now sold out - look forward to welcoming you all.

Do you want to take part in one of Scotland's largest free heritage festivals?

We're currently accepting applications for interested parties to take part in Doors Open Days 2026.

The festival will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September in Perth and Kinross. Whether you're an established visitor attraction, a new venue or someone with an idea for a walk or talk, we want to hear from you!

Before we know it, the summer will be upon us, bringing with it the return of the The Three Inch Fools to Innerpeffray. It will soon be time for our pop-up exhibition in the Schoolroom, Sat 30th and Sun 31st May, celebrating the life and work of Sir Ernest Shackleton.

Please note that the talk on Saturday 30th is fully SOLD OUT - we currently have a waiting list so if you have tickets but find that you can no longer attend, please let us know!

Additionally, due to the busy nature of this event, the Library will be CLOSED for tours from 2-4pm on Saturday 30th.

We’re seeking applications from students for an 8-week Summer Placement in book conservation 🎨📚

You’ll be a current conservation student with a passion for bookbinding and book conservation, looking to develop your practical skills. Your time will be spent working alongside our conservation team, gaining hands-on experience with our collections.

The placement is a volunteering opportunity. Expenses of up to £2,500 for the eight-week period are available as a contribution towards living expenses, travel and accommodation during the placement.

This is a full-time placement during July and August 2026.
