On Sunday, the Crickhowell crew joined three other appliances for a FIBUA training day at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells.

The day was packed with a variety of challenging scenarios, including road traffic collisions, water rescues, and property fires—giving crews the chance to sharpen their skills and work together in realistic conditions.

Great teamwork and valuable training all round! 🚒🔥

It has been a busy week for the crew. On Wednesday, we hosted a Family Appreciation Evening, with thanks to Mid and West Fire and Rescue Service and Cashells of Crickhowell for their support.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, crews were actively engaged in tackling mountain fires in the local area, with the assistance of Talgarth 18P1 and Brecon 10ATV.

All of the crew at Crickhowell Fire Station would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year 🎄🚒

What a year it’s been — without doubt our busiest yet! From training alongside the Welsh Air Ambulance, attending the ScoutsCymru event at Glanusk, to responding to 280+ fire calls, it’s been an incredibly rewarding year for the whole crew.

Thank you to our community for your continued support throughout 2025.
Here’s to an even better 2026 🎉🎊

It’s been another demanding weekend for the Crickhowell crew, with back to back calls.

The team have put their wading gear to good use while navigating difficult conditions throughout the area.

We send our heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by Storm Claudia.

Another hectic few weeks for the crew — from barn fires and multiple RTCs to people stuck in lifts and, today, several boats on fire!

No two days are ever the same, but the team are always ready to turn out when the call comes.

Last week, the Crickhowell crew had the honour of attending the More Than Just Fires Awards after being nominated for the Northern Division Excellence Award. While we didn’t take home the top prize, we were proud to achieve a close second place.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the community for your ongoing support, and to the crew for their continued dedication and commitment. A special thank you also goes to our SLO WM Ian Morgan, for his hard work behind the scenes.

Onwards and upwards – next time, we’re going for the win! 🚒🔥

It’s been a full-on week for the crew!

From joint training with the Wales Ambulance Service, Wales Air Ambulance crew, and Military personnel tackling a variety of scenarios to completing our annual Water First Responder training, the team has been hard at work.

A busy week, but an invaluable experience for everyone involved!
