South Somerset Community Choir The South Somerset Community Choir is open to singers of all abilities and based in the centre of Crewkerne, Somerset.

The South Somerset Community Choir is open to singers of all abilities and there are no auditions. Whether you are an experienced singer or someone who simply enjoys singing in the shower, you can be sure of a warm welcome! The Choir sings a wide range of music from popular songs to show tunes, folk music, jazz standards and classical pieces. Suggestions of songs from choir members are always welc

ome. The choir's Musical Director is Jonathan Delbridge who has a busy career as a choir director, teacher of piano and organ and as a freelance soloist and accompanist. From 2010 to 2015 he directed the Rame Peninsula Male Voice Choir and Keltique ladies choir. Both choirs grew in membership under his direction and won awards at music festivals. Since moving to Somerset, Jonathan has been directing the Ilminster Belles ladies choir and has also formed successful scratch choirs for Christmas and Easter services. If you are interested in joining the choir please contact Jonathan Delbridge for more information or simply come along to a choir practise on a Monday evening at Speedwell Hall, Abbey Street, Crewkerne from 7.30pm to 9pm. The choir rehearse on most Monday evenings in term time but it is always worth checking beforehand to be sure.

We had a great time singing at The Octagon Theatre Yeovil last night for their Festival of Song! Looking forward to our first rehearsal of this term on Monday - new singers are always welcome. We meet from 7pm at Crewkerne Methodist Church.
