A BEAUTIFUL MORNING IN ST BARNABAS

What another lovely, fantastic morning here in St Barnabas. I hope you’re up, out and enjoying the day if you can. Don't waste it - it could rain tomorrow!

I’ve been out in the sunshine again doing a litter pick around Frank Webb Avenue, Brooklands Grove field and Leighton Brook Park. It really does make a difference.

A big thank you as well to all the other volunteers who have been helping to keep our area looking good - your efforts don’t go unnoticed and they make a real difference to our community.

Here in St Barnabas, we need to take the attitude that we CAN be bothered. If we all play our part, we can keep making our community an even better place to live. I will do all I can to support this!

Enjoy the brilliant weather if you can today.

HAPPY EASTER ST BARNABAS, AND THANK YOU

Wishing you and your families a very Happy Easter.

Here are a couple of photos from the fantastic Easter activity sessions at Leighton Brook Park run by Wishing Well this Easter half term. A huge thank you to Start Well at The Wishing Well for organising and delivering these sessions, along with Snap Fitness Crewe and PSCO Penny from Crewe Police for their support.

We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated Easter eggs for our young people this year, including Morrisons Daily on Badger Avenue. Your generosity made a real difference. It was a real privilege to be able to hand out so many Easter eggs!

It was great to join the session on Monday - it was really well attended and there was such a positive atmosphere, with everyone having a brilliant time. In total, 438 young people from our community took part and benefited from the sessions this Easter. Amazing!

Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen.

That's not all! What’s on next?
The free football sessions with Crewe Alexandra in the Community continue, with the next session this Wednesday at 6pm, and every week thereafter.

Meet at the MUGA in Leighton Brook Park at 6pm. It’s completely free - just turn up and get involved.

TODAY’S LITTER PICK - A BIG THANK YOU

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out in the spring sunshine this morning for today’s community litter pick which started at Leighton Brook Park.

It was wonderful to see so many members of our community including the regulars, and many new faces, as well as fellow members from Crewe Clean Team and families from Wilson House Scouts. It was also lovely to see more young people enjoying getting involved. Thank you all so much for your support.

There was a great turnout and over 20 bags of litter were collected from around the park and surrounding streets.

It was wonderful to have such great support from our community. Everyone should be really proud of what we achieved working together this morning. 🌞🧹🌿

🚓 COMMUNITY POLICE DROP-IN SESSION – THIS SUNDAY 🚓

Yesterday evening, I met with our local police officers and joined them on an after-dark patrol around our community to discuss our area and see first-hand the work they’re doing to keep it safe.

I’m pleased to confirm that this Sunday, from 3pm to 4pm, our local community police officers PC Beresford and PCSO Jolley will be holding a drop-in session at Leighton Brook Park, Frank Webb Avenue, CW1 3NE.

Come along for an informal chat about any local issues or concerns you may have. It’s a great opportunity to meet your local officers and hear more about community policing in action.

There will also be free bike marking available – a simple and effective way to help protect your bike.

Pop down this Sunday and say hello 👋
