Crediton Town Council was established in 1973 and is responsible for the service of numerous facilities and property within the town including 3 allotment sites, the War Memorial, St Boniface Statue, The Bandstand and Newcombes Meadow public conveniences. Crediton has a close and friendly community with lots of green open spaces, shops and a strong connection with the Arts.

🚧 Tesco Roundabout Works Update 🚧

Crediton Town Council has been communicating with iCivils and Devon County Council to keep residents informed about the upcoming Tesco roundabout works. Careful planning has gone into ensuring the work is carried out as efficiently as possible by Tesco's contractors and Devon County Council.

🚧The upcoming roadworks will be carried out in three phases.
🔹 Phase 1: Works at the roundabout on the A377
📅 29 June - 21 July
⏰ 09:00 - 16:45

📢 Information Boards will be arriving soon at:
📍 Tesco Foyer
📍 Crediton Library

🗺️ A diversion route has been put in place - please check the map below to plan your journeys.
Informal one-way diversions will be through Hookway (from Exeter) and Shobrooke (from Crediton). However, these are being managed by iCivils and any issues with drivers not adhering to the diversions should be reported to the Police.

Hi everyone. We are incredibly sad to announce the cancellation of the Big Boniface Bash.

This decision has not been taken lightly, but current and forecasted conditions present significant safety concerns. Our foremost priority is the safety and wellbeing of all attendees, stallholders, and staff.

This is very disappointing news for everyone, but especially the performers and acts we had lined up. We hope to be able to bring as much of the family friendly programme as possible to Crediton's Food Festival taking place on July 11th.

Who doesn't love a story in the park?

Isabella Necessity loves to share stories from her incredible bicycling adventures in the wilds of the world. She has outwitted mountain trolls, heard a donkey sing opera and danced with the pixies on Dartmoor. When the doors of her story box open wide she will whisk you away to another world with wondrous tales from her travels.

From the oak woods of the west-country to the rainforests of Brazil, Isabella’s earthy charm will put a skip in your step and hope in your heart. With engaging storytelling, quirky puppets and gorgeous hand-drawn illustrations, expect moments of magic, oodles of fun and a fine tale told.
