We are on the lookout for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers who can help bring people together through free and enjoyable tennis sessions in local parks.
You don’t need to be a coach — or even an experienced player! If you enjoy meeting new people and want to support others in getting active, we’ll provide all the training and guidance you need.

Volunteering as an Activator is a fantastic way to give back, build confidence, and be part of something truly positive.

Looking to boost your wellbeing while enjoying the great outdoors?

Join Steve and the regular walkers for our Tilgate Forest Level 2 Health Walk – a steady‑paced walk ideal for those who want a bit more challenge while still enjoying a sociable, welcoming atmosphere.

✨ What to expect:
✔️ A scenic route through beautiful Tilgate Park
✔️ Moderate pace to raise your heart rate
✔️ Friendly walk leaders and a supportive group
✔️ Fresh air, gentle exercise, and great company

Whether you’re building confidence or maintaining your fitness, this walk is a fantastic way to stay active and feel good. 💚

👟 No need to rush – just turn up, walk, and enjoy.
📍 Location: Meet Outside Tilgate Forest Golf Centre (outside top door nearest golf course)
📅 Held EVERY Tuesday EXCEPT the first Tuesday in a month) - 60 minute walk
✅ Suitable for people comfortable walking for longer periods

Doing 90 minutes to two hours of weight training per week can greatly reduce the risk of an early death, according to new research, external.

Data gathered from decades-long studies suggested that carrying out regular resistance or weight training over an extended period can significantly lower the chance of death from heart disease and stroke.

The benefits also included reducing the risk of death from neurological disease.

Explore local parks, countryside trails, and hidden gems while enjoying fresh air, fun company, and a relaxed pace

Family Bike Ride to East Grinstead
Sunday 14 June, 10.30am.
A family bike ride along the Worth Way to see the steam trains at East Grinstead.
Meet at Oriel High School. Returning by 3pm.

Children capable of cycling gently for two hours and accompanied by a guardian are welcome.

Although the weather is slowly cooling down, the pollen forecast remains high to very high over the coming days.

Most people who are struggling with hay fever can get help from a pharmacist and buy their own medicines over the counter without a prescription.

It's also a good idea to wear sunglasses, shower and change clothes after being outdoors, and dry and laundry inside.
