Emergency Road Closure - North Road, Goudhurst - 19th October 2026 (Tunbridge Wells)

It will be necessary to close North Road, Goudhurst from 19th October 2026 for up to 3 nights.

The road will be closed at the junction of North Road.

The alternative route is via B20279 North Road, Ballards Hill, Goudhurst Road, The Heath, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, B2162 Horsmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Station Road, A262 Clayhill, A262 West Road, A262 The Plain, B20279 North Road and vice versa..

It is planned that the road will be closed between 19:00 hrs and 07:00 hrs each night.

This is to enable carriageway patching to be carried out by Kent County Council.

Enclosed is a copy of the Traffic Notice in confirmation of this.

The benefits of u3a membership include a monthly series of interesting and entertaining talks by excellent public speakers.
On Wednesday 21st October at The Goudhurst Village Hall, Pete Benson will amuse us with Tales of a Film Prop Man.
The event starts at 2.30pm and will be followed by refreshments and conversation. All are welcome and the guest fee will be deducted if you decide to join us.

Emergency Road Closure - Jarvis Lane, Goudhurst - 12th October 2026 (Tunbridge Wells)

It will be necessary to close Jarvis Lane, Goudhurst from 12th October 2026 for up to 3 days.

The road will be closed outside Cherry Gardens Farm Oast.

The alternative route is via Jarvis Lane, Ladham Road, B2084 Chequers Road, Jarvis Lane, and reverse.

This is to repair a leak on or near ferrule to be carried out by South East Water.

Enclosed is a copy of the Traffic Notice in confirmation of this.

🍄 Fungi season has arrived and we will be hosting a fungi walk again this year at Cinderhill Wood, Matfield!

Join ourselves and local expert David Warwick on Saturday 17th October for a lovely walk around Cinderhill Wood where we will discuss and chat about all the fungi we come across.
