πŸ”¨ Project Update: East Hartford Playground & Horton Park Dog Park

We want to keep residents informed about two projects that were due to get underway in May.

Work on the new playground in East Hartford and the Horton Park dog park in Northburn has been delayed due to steel shortages affecting supply chains across the construction industry.

We're pleased to confirm that both projects are expected to get underway soon and be completed by the end of June.

We will share further updates as work progresses. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene to assist us with our enquiries.

A section of the road was closed in both directions to allow for recovery of the vehicles involved. It later reopened to traffic.

We’re investigating the collision and are appealing to anyone with information to contact us.

Cramlington Town Council responds to Police and Crime Commissioner Susan Dungworth

Following a letter received from the Commissioner in April, the Council have written a formal response setting out their concerns about policing and antisocial behaviour in Cramlington - and calling for meaningful engagement with the town's elected representatives.

The response covers a number of key issues including the withdrawal of Project Shield funding, the exclusion of councillors from the Crime and ASB Summit, the Commissioner's non-attendance at local meetings, and the ongoing call for a second Neighbourhood Policing Team for Cramlington.

πŸ“‹ 5 Reasons to Fill Out the Cramlington Residents Survey 2026!

Still not filled it in yet? Here's why you should! πŸ‘‡

1. Your voice shapes decisions
Your feedback directly influences the priorities and projects Cramlington Town Council focuses on.

2. You know your town best. You live here and you see what's working and what isn't every day. That experience is exactly what we need to hear.

3. It's your chance to praise and to challenge. Tell us what we're doing well and what could be better. Both matter equally.

4. It takes less than 10 minutes (8.5 on average!)

5. Real change starts with you. The more residents that respond, the stronger the message about what Cramlington really needs.
