Just one week to go untill our next Artisan Market taking place as part of the Buskfest celebrations in Banbridge Town Centre on Saturday 20 June!

Featuring the finest local makers, bakers and creators the Artisan Market will be in full swing from 12 noon – 5pm at two locations in the town centre, Scarva Street and Bridge Street (beside the Imperial Bar), but the fun dosen't end there, as the Buskfest celebrations continue until 8.30pm. 🥳

Deputy Lord Mayor, Alderman Lavelle McIlwrath, recently hosted a Civic Reception in Banbridge Civic Building to honour Banbridge Academy Girls’ 1st XI Hockey Team, Kate Russell Winners and newly crowned All-Ireland Schoolgirls Champions. 🏆

Banbridge Academy secured the title following an outstanding 3–1 victory over hosts Royal School Armagh in the Kate Russell Final, concluding two days of high-quality and fiercely contested hockey. 🏑

The reception recognised the team’s exceptional achievement, dedication and teamwork throughout the season. 🙌

Congratulating the players, Deputy Lord Mayor Alderman McIlwrath said their success was “a fantastic accomplishment and a source of pride for the whole community.” 👏

We are delighted to announce that works will begin in Gilford from the start of July as part of a £2 million Environmental Improvement Scheme for the rural towns of Rathfriland, Gilford and Markethill.

To keep local residents and businesses informed about the about upcoming works, we’re hosting a Drop-In Information Session on Wednesday 17 June from 4pm to 7pm in Gilford Community Centre.

This session is an opportunity to meet the contractor and find out how the scheme will enhance the look, feel and functionality of the town. Everyone is welcome to drop in at any time during the session.
