Just a few photos from our fabulous day out to Emerald Park with P3-7!
Everyone had an amazing day. We definitely had a few daredevils more than happy to try out the Cu Chulainn, the Rotator, Viking Voyage and Na Fianna Force!
A huge thank you to all of our parent volunteers for helping to make the day such a great success.

In partnership with St Patrick’s PS and St Mary’s PS, we are delighted to launch our weekly schools coaching programme starting September 2026 💚🩵💙

We are passionate about giving every child the opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, make friendships and enjoy being active in a fun and supportive environment. This investment reflects our commitment to youth development within our community while strengthening the connection between our club and local schools.

We can’t wait to see the boys and girls enjoying the sessions, developing their love for Gaelic games and continuing their football journey beyond the school gates.

🏐 Join Us in Celebrating Kieran’s Retirement! 🏐

We are delighted to invite everyone to a special evening as we celebrate Kieran's retirement after more than 20 years of dedicated service to St Mary’s PS, Derrymore.

From caring for our school to coaching and inspiring generations of young people on the Gaelic field, Kieran has made an enormous contribution to our community. Now it’s our turn to give him the send-off he truly deserves!

📅 Testimonial Match
📍 Aghagallon GAA Club
🗓️ Friday 19th June from 7pm

This event is open to all past and present pupils of St Mary’s Derrymore — not just those currently playing for Aghagallon GAA. We would love to see as many familiar faces as possible so come along and take part in what promises to be a fantastic evening for all ages.

⭐ Both boys and girls are encouraged to get involved! ⭐

Kieran was instrumental in promoting girls' Gaelic football and we would love to recognise that contribution. If numbers allow, we hope to organise a short girls' match as part of the evening.

📞 Current pupils: Please contact Avni if you would like to take part.

📞 Past pupils: Please contact Patricia if you would like to play.

Whether you're playing, supporting, or simply coming along to catch up with old friends, we'd love to see you there as we celebrate everything Kieran has done for our school and community.

Please share and spread the word!

We are incredibly proud of each and every member of our Gaelic football squad, who have worked so hard during this school year.

Your commitment and dedication, attending training every week, has seen you building your skills, developing your sportsmanship and your teamwork, making each of you a valued member of all of the teams that have travelled to the football blitzes this year.

You have each played a special part in the squad and your talents were rewarded this year with your amazing success in the school league.

A big thank you to Kieran and Mr Fegan, who take training in their free time after school. Their hard work and encouragement are invaluable and we are very grateful for their commitment to the development of every child’s skills.

What a fantastic day for our school! 🏆🎉

A huge congratulations to both of our Gaelic teams on winning their respective finals today and becoming league champions. This is a tremendous achievement and reflects the hard work, commitment, teamwork, and determination shown by all our pupils throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of every player who represented the school throughout the year with such skill, passion, and sportsmanship. Your dedication has been rewarded with a well-deserved success.

A special word of thanks and congratulations must go to Coaches Kieran and Mr Fegan for their outstanding commitment, hard work, and dedication to coaching both teams. The time, effort, and encouragement you have given our pupils throughout the year have been instrumental in helping them achieve this success, and we are extremely grateful for all that you do.

Today’s success is made even more special as it marks Kieran’s final game in charge before his well-earned retirement. What a fitting way to bring an outstanding chapter to a close. Kieran’s dedication, passion, and commitment to Gaelic games and to the pupils he has coached over the years have left a lasting legacy within our school. We thank him sincerely for everything he has done and wish him every happiness and good health in his retirement.

Well done to everyone involved on a memorable achievement for our school! 🏆🩵💙
