The Schools may be over for the summer, but most people still have to use the roads every day.

We wanted to highlight a particular challenge for the road users of especially those living or commuting in or around the Sherbourne, Bablake & Radford wards,

This week roadworks are impacting two main roads in and out of the city centre, but to make it worse many of the side roads that offer alternative routes to the ring road are also disrupted!

Short sighted planning like this by the results in ordinary citizens and businesses suffering disruption and environmental damage through traffic jams.

The Liberal Democrats have been highlighting the urgent need to fix social care for a long time. Coventry Liberal Democrats welcome the Prime Minister's focus on social care and call on the PM to have a genuine ongoing cross party approach to find the right solutions.

Andy Burnham should take up our plan to Save our High Streets, with a proper overhaul of business rates, a crack down on ‘ghost landlords’ and rejuvenating town centres.

Standing up for people living with disabilities, members of LGBTQ+ communities and other local residents who feel minoritised.

Today local LibDems, led by Cllr Sarah Boad (below), held the Reform UK leadership to account for their plans to defund the County Council's equalities service. The public consultation will still go 'live' but - thanks to the victory we won today - only after members of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee have seen the consultation document.

We hope as many people and community groups as possible will take part in the consultation. For more details watch Sarah's feedback in the comments below.

Now the dust has settled after the local election, we wanted to reflect.

Although things didn't go the way we wanted, we did want to say a massive thank you to all those who voted for us last Thursday!

We're proud to announce that this local election we got the highest number of votes in Coventry since 2015! we'll be back next year fighting for a for all of Coventry!
