This week we’ve been keeping in touch with residents in the Burton Road area of Cottingham.

As your ward councillors for Cottingham South, myself and Carloyn have been talking and listening to residents about their neighbourhood issues.

We were joined by Cottingham North councillor Alex Duke.

It was good to hear the many positive comments being made about the neighbourhood. Residents did raise a number of issues with us. These included the number and location of telegraph poles, the general standard of street cleaning, and some parking issues.

🚌 Could the number 18 bus run later?

The number 18 was introduced following our lobbying for a service covering the Northgate area and is now widely used.

After a resident asked about later journeys, we raised this with Stagecoach. The current service operates around a school bus, but a possible timetable extension will now be discussed with council officers.

We’ll share an update when we hear more.
