At the Full Council meeting on 12th November, I asked an important question:

How many of the new housing estates across the East Riding are experiencing drainage issues, missing or unclear road markings/signage, and unfinished play areas because they haven’t been signed off in a timely manner and why is this process taking so long?

In Cottingham, several new housing estates are still not adopted, which is causing a whole range of problems for local residents. The Wheatley Drive area in Cottingham South, opposite Castle Hill Hospital, is a prime example.

I am still waiting for a full and valid response to my question, and I believe it’s completely unacceptable for residents to be left with this level of uncertainty.

Our communities deserve answers and action.
I will continue to push for answers.
