Sea Squad Explorer Scout Unit Sea Squad ESU are an Explorer Sea Scout Unit, in Wiltshire North district.

We provide Scouting for 14 - 18 year olds in the Corsham area, and specialise in water activities. Amongst other things we participate in camping, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking, dinghy sailing, high ropes, rock climbing, abseiling and shooting. It seems like only yesterday we arrived, but we now begin our journey home after an incredible week of adventure in Gower!

We spent our last day at the LC2 waterpark in Swansea, followed by some time to explore Mumbles and finally fish and chips on the beach!

Thanks to everyone who made this year’s camp happen and to all our Explorers for giving their best to all our activities!

On Thursday we headed to Zip World Tower where we conquered the Phoenix zip lines and had a session on the Tower Climber High Ropes course.
Afterwards we spent the evening at Oxwich Bay where we had a BBQ on the beach to finish off the day!

We’ve had a busy couple of days of exciting activities in Gower! Yesterday we spent 4 hours swimming, scrambling and jumping off the rocks of Rhosilli bay in a session of coasteering with RipnRock ! Sadly no photos of us in the sea as we didn’t have any waterproof cameras with us!

We finished the day off with an evening meal overlooking the bay before heading back to camp!

Today we headed to the beautiful Three Cliffs Bay for some rock climbing and time on the beach!

Today we spent the morning trying out some Grass Sledging and Mountain Boarding with Brd Gravity Centre !

After lunch we hiked a section of The Gower Way to see the views from one of the highest points of the peninsula. We learned a bit about the area before heading back for an Ice Cream at the local cafe!
