THEY LIED TO YOU ABOUT BREXIT. HERE IS THE TRUTH.

For years they told you leaving the EU wrecked this country. Labour said it. The Conservatives said it. Project Fear never switched off.

Economist Julian Jessop has gone through the figures. The scare does not survive scrutiny.

The Office for Budget Responsibility predicted a 15% hit to Britain’s trade. It did not happen.

They brandished studies saying Brexit slashed GDP per head by 8%. Jessop says those studies lump Brexit in with Covid and the energy crisis and call the lot “leaving Europe”. Compare us with France and Germany, and Britain has kept pace, as dire as that may be.

His verdict: in macroeconomic terms, Brexit has been a non-event. Relatively little actually changed. The damage they described is not in the data.

“Austerity and Brexit have become convenient scapegoats.”

Source: Julian Jessop, IEA, The Great Stagnation Briefing 7, September 2026.

Project Fear ran for a decade but it was all a lie.

Our economy is not dying because we left the EU. That was the story they needed. They have been gaslighting you, pointing at Brexit so you would not look at the thing you never voted for. Britain and Europe have been changed by mass immigration on a scale no manifesto put to the country. Wages, housing, the NHS, the schools: that is where the pressure is. Not in a trade graph from 2016.

They blamed the vote. They opened the door.

Has mass immigration made your town better, or have you been told to call the damage “diversity” and keep quiet?

PLEASE SHARE, Britain must know the truth.

THEY SAID REFORM HAD NO PLAN. BIRMINGHAM JUST PUT ONE ON THE TABLE.

First 100 days. Written down. Ministers sacked if they miss it.

1. THE BOATS - 100 DAYS
Farage signed a memorandum of understanding on stage with Jordan Bardella, tipped to be the next French Prime Minister. Intercept the boats in British waters. Return to France. The crossings stop, or the minister goes.

2. £250 OFF YOUR ENERGY BILL
Richard Tice: policy costs and VAT off household bills. In a county of draughty homes, that is the difference between heating and sitting in a coat.

3. THE FIRST £15,000 UNTAXED
Robert Jenrick: personal allowance up from £12,570. Cornish wages are not city wages. More of what you earn stays in your pocket, not in Whitehall.

4. TRAIN BRITISH DOCTORS HERE
Suella Braverman: lift the cap on medical school places. Treliske and our surgeries should not be begging the world for staff while British A-level students are turned away.

5. NURSES - NO INTEREST ON THE LOAN
Zero interest on student loans for British nurses. Young Cornish people who want to work for the NHS should not spend twenty years repaying an extortionate loan for the right to do the job.

6. APPRENTICESHIPS FOR CORNISH YOUTH
Wage credit for firms that take on 16–18-year-olds. A £2,000 bonus if they stay. Target: 600,000 apprentices a year. Cornwall loses its young because there is no trade to stay for. This is the offer to keep them.

7. WOMEN FOR REFORM
Sarah Pochin: safety, single-sex spaces, foreign offenders out, a party that will protect women.

8. SCRAP NET ZERO
Robert Jenrick: a saving at £10 billion a year would be achieved by cutting net zero programmes. Farage called it ending the net zero lunacy. Cheaper power, farms left to farm, and the money staying here.

9. WELFARE FOR THOSE WHO NEED IT
Robert Jenrick: Reform is the party of working people, not Benefit Street. Fifty billion a year off the welfare bill. Face to face assessments. Work for those who can. Welfare for those who genuinely cannot. Cornwall’s taxpayers should not keep a system that pays people to stay idle.

10. NO MORE TEN-YEAR EXCUSES
National emergency, day one. One hundred days to move. Fail the pledge, lose the job. Cornwall has heard “give us time” from every government that priced locals out, decimated our industry and left our towns empty.

This is the First 100 Days. Not a slogan. A clock.

Please SHARE this. Cornwall first. Time starts when we get the keys.

I spent the day out with Cllr Steve Trevelyan around his Roche and Bugle division.

We went from village to village, speaking to residents and looking at the jobs he has on the go. Flooding, roads, small repairs for people who cannot afford a tradesman, the everyday problems that never make the headlines.

Steve is out on the ground, listening and getting stuck in. That is the work that actually matters to people. Cornwall needs more councillors like this and we are proud to see Reform UK doing it.

Part two is coming. Look out for it!
