This year's theme, "Climate Facts for a Greener Future", highlights how libraries can help people find trusted information, tackle misinformation, and make informed choices about climate issues.

There are still spaces left for this fun storytelling workshop for children and young people - this Friday during half term week! Join us on Friday 30th (2pm) for The Quest of All Quests, a creative storytelling workshop with Preacher the Storyteller.

Looking for a friendly way to meet new people and enjoy a good chat about books? Join our Reading Friends coffee afternoons at Corby Library.

Drop in for a relaxed and welcoming social group where you can enjoy conversation, share reading recommendations, and meet new friends over a cuppa. Free to attend, with no need to book.

Join Sound Reads at Corby Library

Love audiobooks or know someone who finds reading print difficult? Sound Reads is our friendly audiobook book group, run in partnership with NAB - Sight Support for Northamptonshire.

The group meets on the last Wednesday of every month and offers a welcoming space to discuss great books, discover new authors and connect with other audiobook listeners.

Next meeting: Wednesday 28 October, 10am-12pm
Location: Corby Library

Audiobooks are available free through the library for people with visual impairments, with formats including CD, Playaway and digital downloads.

Have Your Say: Children and Young People Long Term Condition Survey

North Northamptonshire Council is looking for feedback from children and young people living with long-term health conditions, as well as their parents, carers and families.

Could you spare an hour a week to make a real difference?

Age UK Northamptonshire is looking for volunteer Telephone Befrienders to support older people across the county who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation.

As a Telephone Befriender, you'll be matched with an older person and provide companionship through regular phone calls from the comfort of your own home. The role is flexible, fully supported, and takes around 1 to 1.5 hours per week.

With demand for the service growing, many older people are currently waiting months to be matched with a volunteer. A simple weekly conversation can help someone feel more connected, supported, and valued.
