1st-14th June is Hi-Vis Fortnight, an opportunity for libraries to highlight services for those with visual impairments. At Corby Library, we have a large range of large print and audiobooks to loan - audiobooks are available via 3 different formats, as CDs, mp3 playaways, and via the Borrowbox app! It's important that reading is for everyone 🎧❀️

For those who can't make it here themselves due to age or disability, we can even deliver! Just ask staff to join our Library to You scheme, which doesn't cost you anything to take part! We'll deliver library books to your door so you don't need to come to check them out yourself, returning every month to swap them over, and it's completely free. Just call 0300 126 3000 or email us on [email protected] to join Library to You.

This week is Volunteers' Week (1st June – 7th June)! It's time to say a massive THANK YOU!

In our library, we have a wonderful team of volunteers who cover all sorts of tasks, from shelving and tidying books, to leading book groups and craft sessions, from helping beginners use computers to apply for their Blue Badges, to delivering books to people's homes, and loads more. We want to say a huge thank you for everything they do for the community! The library wouldn't be the same without them πŸ˜€

Have your say on the first stage of the North Northamptonshire Local Plan! North Northamptonshire Council is preparing a local plan to guide development and growth in our area - everything from homes and jobs to schools and infrastructure. It must also support conservation and enhancement of the natural, built, and historic environment and include measures to address climate change.

This consultation is an opportunity for all those with an interest in how North Northamptonshire will develop and look in the future to have their say.
