Another great day out in Greenside!
It was brilliant speaking to residents across the east side of the village again today. The conversations were really positive, and it’s always good to hear directly from people about what matters most to them.

Once again, we heard a lot about concerns over Lead Road and the speed of traffic along it. Your local Labour Team has been working hard to get action on this, and we won’t rest until something is done to make the road safer for everyone. The speed traps are down and we are pushing and pushing for action.

Your local Labour team are following up directly with Gateshead Council on this again next week to check in on progress as well as writing to the Secretary of State for Transport and The Minister for Roads.

We’ll keep standing up for residents right across the ward — next weekend, we’ll be out in Clara Vale! If you’d like us to stop by for a chat, just drop us a message — but we’ll be out and about on the doors anyway.

Today was a budget that was centred around fairness – one in which the majority of people in this country won’t pay more in tax but will provide a lifeline for many who desperately need it.
