You know what? Sometimes it is worth grounding yourself for a moment to appreciate what’s happened.

Since we opened Caffinaafi and The VC Hub
(Veterans & Community Hub) three years ago. We are proud to have developed services for not only Veterans and their family members but also to the wider community too! But more to the point, we have also provided work opportunities for six people including five veterans in the area which we think is a brilliant outcome despite some very difficult external trading conditions/rising costs affecting businesses across many sectors.

Despite the pressures, as we move forward with our ongoing development, we continue to work on a collaborative funding bid with other veteran organisations in the North Wales region and the ‘Office Veterans Affairs’ in central government to develop a number of strategic veteran services in the region. A point that must be made again in our journey is that none of this would have likely been as possible without the foresight of many of the elected members Connah's Quay Town Council who three years ago saw the benefits to the community that this venture would bring.

Moving forward! Exciting things are planned in a number of areas for collaboration along our journey too so watch this space.

We want to thank everyone in Connahs Quay and the wider area for all their support in laying these foundations.
