Our little ones had lots of fun making their very own lemonade! 🥰

The children helped to chop and squeeze the lemons, exploring the different smells, textures and tastes along the way. 🍋👃👀

And, of course, the best part was getting to sit back together and enjoy their delicious homemade lemonade! 🍹😋

A fun, hands-on learning experience with a tasty reward at the end! 💛🌟

Saying goodbye is never easy, whether our little ones are heading off to big school or pastures new. 🎒🌱

🌱 Super Tato – Exploring Peas! 🫛📚

The children have been enjoying our Super Tato story and bringing the story to life through sensory play! 💚

Today we explored peas, using our hands and utensils to scoop, move, sort and investigate them. 🫛🥄 The children were able to explore different textures while developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration.

A lovely way to combine our love of stories with hands-on learning! 📖✨

✏️ Mark Making in Flour! 🤍

Today the children explored mark making in flour, using their fingers and tools to create lines, patterns and shapes. This is a lovely sensory activity that supports early writing skills, fine motor development and hand-eye coordination, while allowing the children to explore and have lots of fun! 🌟

We loved seeing the different marks and patterns everyone created! 🥰

📢 Bank Holiday Reminder 📢

A little reminder to all of our parents that Monday 31st August is a Bank Holiday, so the nursery will be closed for the day. 🌸

We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 1st September and look forward to welcoming everyone back! 💛🌱

☕️✨ A Little Café Fun! ✨☕️
Our toddlers enjoyed some lovely pretend play in our café today, having a cup of tea and exploring the café experience. 🫖💕
Through this simple and enjoyable activity, the children were developing so many important skills:
🗣️ Communication & Language – talking, listening, using new words and engaging in conversations.
🤝 Personal, Social & Emotional Development – sharing, taking turns, building confidence and enjoying social interactions.
👐 Physical Development – developing hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they held cups, poured and served.
🧠 Understanding the World – making connections with familiar experiences and learning about everyday life in a café.
🎭 Expressive Arts & Imagination – using pretend play to recreate real-life experiences and develop their imagination.
It was wonderful to see the toddlers chatting, pretending, sharing and having lots of fun while learning through play! ☕️🥰

🎨✨ Little Artists, Big Learning! ✨🎨
Today, the children enjoyed getting creative through painting! 🖌️🌈 As they explored colours, textures and different ways of making marks, they were developing so many important skills.
🎨 Physical Development: Strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and pencil/brush control.
🧠 Cognitive Development: Exploring colours, making choices, experimenting and developing problem-solving skills.
💬 Communication & Language: Talking about their artwork, sharing ideas and learning new vocabulary.
❤️ Personal, Social & Emotional Development: Building confidence, expressing feelings and taking pride in their creations.
🎭 Creative Development: Using their imagination and expressing themselves freely through art.
Every brushstroke is a learning opportunity! 🌟 We love seeing the children’s creativity, confidence and curiosity grow through hands-on experiences. 💕🖌️

Today we said goodbye to one of our lovely Little Acorns as they start their next big adventure! 🥹
