We are incredibly saddened to share some disappointing news regarding our local green spaces.

On Tuesday 10th June, the Parish Council proudly planted a beautiful new small oak tree in Millenium Green to help green our area for future generations to enjoy. Regrettably, just five days later on Sunday 15th June, we discovered that the young tree had already been severely damaged.

To make matters worse, we have also found that a nearby community bench has been vandalised, with a significant hole gouged out of the wooden seating area.

Our public spaces, trees, and benches belong to everyone, and it is deeply disheartening to see community assets treated this way. Repairing and replacing these items costs public money that could be better spent elsewhere in our village.

If you were in the area between the 10th and 15th of June and witnessed how the damage to either the tree or the bench occurred, please get in touch with the Parish Council via [email protected] or inform the police on 101.

We want to keep our communal areas safe and beautiful. Please help us look after our village and report any anti-social behaviour or vandalism to us or the local police.

Let’s work together to keep our community a beautiful, welcoming place for everyone. Thank you for your continued support.
