Mae profi syniadau ar raddfa fach yn rhoi tystiolaeth i wneud cais am grantiau pellach er mwyn datblygu’r cysyniadau hynny yn y gobaith y gall gymunedau gynnal datrysiadau llwyddiannus. The CCBC Community Engagement Team are responsible for delivering the Community Led Local Development (CLLD) project that is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. The Conwy Community Led Local Development (CLLD) project gives groups the opportunity to apply for funding for feasibility studies and projects, as well as access to training which will benefit their communities. What local problems do you have that could possibly be addressed by your community? What innovative projects could be piloted or feasibility studies commissioned to test the identified solutions to those local problems? Testing ideas on a small scale provides evidence to apply for further grants to develop those concepts in the hope that communities can sustain successful solutions.

We’re pleased to share that the lighting upgrade at the Church Road Recreation Ground MUGA in Rhos-on-Sea is now complete — helping keep this well-used community sports space safe, accessible and open all year round.
Funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Bay of Colwyn Town Council with support from Conwy County Borough Council, the new energy-efficient LED lighting will:

✔️ Extend use into evenings and winter months
✔️ Support youth activities and informal sport
✔️ Improve safety and visibility
✔️ Encourage active, healthy lifestyles

The MUGA is a valued free community facility, used by residents of all ages — and this investment ensures it continues to play an important role in local wellbeing and recreation.
Another great example of the Bay of Colwyn Place Plan in action — delivering improvements that matter to our communities.
