Mae gwasanaeth newydd ar gael i’r gymuned fyddar a nam ar y clyw er mwyn cysylltu efo Heddlu Gogledd Cymru gan ddefnyddio Iaith Arwyddion Prydain (BSL). Enw’r gwasanaeth newydd ydy Convo Now.

Dywedodd Comisiynydd Heddlu a Throsedd Gogledd Cymru, Andy Dunbobbin: “Fel CHTh, dwi’n credu dylai pawb fedru cysylltu efo’r heddlu gyda hyder, ac mae mentrau fel hon yn helpu chwalu rhwystrau cyfathrebu a chadw pobl yn saff.

“Drwy wella hygyrchedd, ‘da ni’n cryfhau ymddiriedaeth, sicrhau tegwch, ac yn sicrhau bod pawb yn cael mynediad i’r help maen nhw ei hangen.”

A new service is available for the Deaf and hearing-impaired community to contact North Wales Police using British Sign Language (BSL). The service is called Convo Now.

North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Andy Dunbobbin said: “The introduction of Convo is a really important step forward in making policing services more accessible and inclusive for Deaf people and BSL users across North Wales.

“As PCC I believe everyone should be able to contact the Police with confidence and initiatives like this help break down communication barriers and keep people safe.

“By improving access, we are strengthening trust, ensuring fairness, and making sure no one is excluded from the support they may need.”

This week is Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action, where we recognise and celebrate the vital contribution of neighbourhood officers, police community support officers (PCSOs) and volunteers.

Partnership working is making a real difference right across North Wales in communities like Amlwch 💙

From regenerating Craig y Don to engaging with young people and tackling anti-social behaviour, local officers and partners are helping create safer, more welcoming spaces.
