With the warmer weather we’re having over the next few days, we want you to stay safe while enjoying the sun.

🔥 Do not leave disposable BBQ's or glass bottles in open areas. They can easily start a fire which will spread rapidly damaging woodland areas and wildlife.

🛟 Stay safe around water. If you see anyone in trouble in the water, remember phone 999, tell them to float on their back, throw any nearby rescue equipment.

🪞 Keep objects like mirrors out of direct sunlight as they can concentrate the sun's rays, causing near-by objects to set fire.

The advice is aimed at fire safety outdoors and water awareness.

Only safe place to swim is a swimming pool or a life guarded beach.
If you enter the water be aware of cold water shock, FLOAT TO LIVE.

If you see someone in trouble

SHOUT- For help call 999 & Request the Fire Service

REACH - With a stick or pole

This bank holiday weekend with the rise in temperatures we wish to remind people of the risks of using Disposable BBQ’s incorrectly.
It doesn’t take much for a small fire or incorrectly disposed of BBQ to do a lot of damage and escalate quickly.
Please remember a lot of local parks do not allow the use of Disposable BBQ’s please follow on site instructions.
If you do BBQ
Follow Safety Instructions supplied with the BBQ
Never leave it unattended
Make sure your BBQ is well away from sheds, fences, trees and shrubs.
If in a country park that allows the use of Disposable BBQ’s, only use in the designated areas.
Do not dispose of hot BBQ in to a Dustbin.
Allow to cool and ensure it’s fully extinguished.
Keep children and pets away.
Enjoy yourself but don’t drink too much if in charge of the BBQ.

IF YOU SEE A FIRE REPORT IT
Don not attempt to tackle a fire yourself.

Stay safe this Bank Holiday weekend.

Crews will be visiting local parks and open Water sites. Come and say hello and if you Iive in Warwickshire ask about a free Fire Safety in the home visit.

❤️🚗 THANK YOU, COLESHILL! 🚗❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our charity car wash at Coleshill Fire Station – what an incredible community day!

Thanks to your generosity, we raised an amazing £735.98 for a fantastic cause, The Firefighters Charity! 👏

👶 We also carried out 28 child car seat safety checks, with 10 found to be incorrectly fitted. Thank you to everyone who took the time to get checked and help make their journeys safer.

It was fantastic to welcome so many people to the station and see such strong community spirit. Your support, donations, and friendly faces made the event truly special.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the day such a success.

“A cleaner car, a safer family.”

Thank you again – we look forward to seeing you at the next one! 🚒
