Introducing Jonny Armstrong: Your TUV Candidate for Coleraine 🗳️
Jonny Armstrong was born and raised in the Ballycairn Road area of Coleraine. He was educated at the D H Christie Memorial Primary School and Coleraine Boys Secondary School.
A self employed painter and decorator with over 30 years experience he is well known in the area.
Jonny is a proud member of all the Loyal Orders. A Past Master of the Invincible True Blues LOL 735 and a member of both the Apprentice Boys of Derry Mitchelburne Club Blaugh Branch and Coleraine Knights of the Bann RBP 37.
Jonny is also a member of SEFF Victims and Survivors, a group which is very close to his heart after having lost his father to IRA terrorism at the age of 8. Res Con Frederick Armstrong was murdered alongside his colleague Res Con Robert McLean whilst patrolling Main St Portrush on 11th April 1987.
Speaking after his selection as the candidate for Coleraine DEA Jonny said:
“I am honoured to be selected to stand for the TUV in my home town of Coleraine. TUV is a party of conscience that I know and trust to stand up for the main principals of Unionism.”
Party chairman and TUV East Londonderry candidate Cllr Allister Kyle said:
“I’m really pleased to have Jonny on my team for the 2027 council elections in CC&G. Jonny has sacrificed more than most should ever have had to growing up but his experience has instilled in him a great set of principles.
“I know Jonny is a man with a deep conviction for the people of his native town and is an excellent candidate for the TUV to put before you.”

I am delighted by the selection of Jonny Armstrong as the TUV council candidate for Coleraine.
As a well known local man, living and working in the town, Jonny will offer Coleraine the representation it needs and add strength to the TUV ticket across the borough.
TUV, I believe, is on the cusp of taking great strides forward in Coleraine and East Londonderry.
I look forward to both Council and Assembly success with Allister Kyle returned to Stormont and Jonny Armstrong to the Council.
