We're inviting community groups across the Forest to apply for Community Grant Funding🥳

The funding available to groups for 2026/2027 is £52,500, with one-off revenue grants of up to £3,000 available for constituted groups and one-off grants of up to £500 available for non-constituted groups.

For those who are interested in applying, we also have events coming up in venues across the district where you can find out more and receive advice on your application. Details can be found below👇

☀ Over the coming days, hot weather is forecast for our region ☀

⚠️ Because we've had a period of unseasonably cold weather, people may not be prepared for the change. Anyone can become unwell when the weather is hot, but some are at higher risk than others.

👍 Look out for older people, people with long-term health conditions and young
children who may find it more difficult to stay cool and hydrated in hot weather. Check in on older friends, family and neighbours, particularly those who live alone,
who may struggle to keep themselves cool and hydrated during the hot weather

🏥CMIIUs can treat children and adults for a range of minor injuries and illnesses, in a calm environment and there is free parking. People are seen and treated promptly based on clinical need.

👩‍⚕️Staffed by highly trained nurses and paramedics, there are 6 units across the county and you don’t need to live in that area to use one.

🕗The CMIIUs are open from 8am to 8pm every day (the last walk-in patient is seen at 7.30pm), including weekends.

They can offer advice and treatment for things like:
• Sprains
• Simple fractures
• Simple wounds
• Minor burns
• Minor head injuries with no loss of consciousness
• Minor illnesses (earaches, sore throats etc)
• Skin problems such as rashes, bites, stings, infections
• Eye conditions like conjunctivitis
• Emergency contraception.

📍There are CMIIUs at:
• Cirencester Hospital
• Forest of Dean Community Hospital, Cinderford
• North Cotswold Hospital, Moreton in Marsh
• Stroud General Hospital
• Tewkesbury Hospital
• Vale Community Hospital, Dursley.

📱Please contact NHS 111 by phone or online for an initial assessment. If appropriate, NHS 111 will arrange an MIIU appointment for you. It’s still possible to just walk in, but you may have to wait longer to be seen.
