Are you sick and tired of budget cuts ruining your course? Losing teaching time because your teachers are on strike? Disgusted by the way that administration has treated Southend campus?

The university need to ! Austerity at the University of Essex affects every single student, teacher and staff member, whether in Colchester or Southend. Departments and classes are getting slashed left and right, teachers are increasingly feeling the burden of redundancies, and the campus atmosphere is slowly but surely decaying.

🚨 TRANS LIBERATION EMERGENCY DEMO 🚨

Couldn't attend the demonstration in London? Worry not for there will be a demonstration in Colchester!

Come show your solidarity with the transgender community in light of the recent Supreme Court rule. This becomes even more important as institutions such as the transport police claim they will start having male officers strip-searching transgender women. We must not let this precedent continue.

If you plan on attending, has made a post advising protest attendees on what to do during attendance and arrest.

Voting ends on the 24th March 13:00, and you will be able to vote for the following roles;

- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Welfare Officer

This voting is crucial to keep the society running for next year, so please make sure to vote.

Results will be out from the 31st of March. If any roles are vacant, a by-election will be triggered for that specific role.
